2009 National Tea Party Day

I guess it's called something like "National Tea Party Day". I don't know if or when one is going to happen around Fort Wayne. I see that a bunch are scheduled to take place at various locations in Indiana. If one is to not take place in Fort Wayne, my own lack of initiative not withstandinig, I think one COULD not occur in Fort Wayne because it is something that is of the genre concept - NEW. And simply because something could be NEW in Fort Wayne it will not play here. It could be the unveiling a monument of the word "NEW" and the entire concept would be met with incredible local resistance. It's just the frame of referance here. There was a time in this place when national marketers used this marketplace of roughly 250,000 people as a test market for new products. I do not know when this marketing strategy migrated elsewhere. But, I do know, if this marketplace was still representative of the overall demogrphic population of the United States, there would probably be a National Tea Party event occuring here. Again, there still could be. I am just not aware of one. Nearest place would probably be down in Hunington, IN. Oh, my goodness, former Vice-President Dan Quayle's home town? Ah, now I get it: Fort Wayne is going to defer to Hunington to carry the banner for trying out new things in this area? Perhaps, I will go there and investigate. In any event, I do take my tea without any lumps of economic and/or social sugar and always at a warm boil.
